The WTBTS will morph continuously. It is different now than it was in the 80s and 90s, and it will continue to change with each failure and administration. It will always exist, just like all other religions.

Today's Special Day Assembly Expenses and the $10,499 Deficit. Silent Majority?
by Tenacious intoday i attended a one-day assembly in my hometown.
i knew when it came time to read the afternoon expenses that it would be an incredibly high and ridiculous amount that was nowhere near the real expenses for that day.
sure enough, after lunch came the announcement.

i never could convince myself of that, other than that it hung a blade over my head that would then be on the chopping block should i err in some way and thus they would be protected from me, but i also knew that i needed to do so anyway.
otherwise i'd be a pariah if i got older and didn't take the step, and i wanted to be good in their eyes.

Why I remain one of Jehovah's Witnesses
by Brother Jeramy inallow me to begin with a clarification: when i say i am one of jehovah's witnesses, i don't mean that i am an advocate of the watchtower society or a devotee of some of its more controversial false teachings.
i mean that i am a christian, a disciple of jesus christ dedicated to jehovah god, and who remains in union with my brothers and sisters who make up the family of faith that globally refers to itself as jehovah's witnesses.
some totally understand the distinction between the family of brothers and sisters and the corporate organization known as the watchtower society (wts).

Agree, disagree, or otherwise, a JW is what I am. Indoctrination runs deep. In my case, overall, the good out weighs the bad by a long stretch.
I have come down to accept it. I am going down with this ship.
Being mentally out does add a touch of indescribable freedom and carelessness that is very satisfying.

he can never do anything on wednesdays because it's a meeting night.
same for sunday early afternoons.

All graduates in my cong are attending college, online or physically. Several participate in school music and sport stuff.
It is wonderful that so many young JWs are not removed to the extent they were in the past.

Modern JWs are increasingly becoming like Catholics in the sense that they may be there listening to all the bs, but they are very selective in what they practice. And with each failed prophecy and 'new light', less and less is practiced.
The WTBTS keeps harping on the night for family worship, when in fact hardly anyone is putting this into practice. Isn't it enough indoctrination and bs heard in the other 5 meetings? One needs to keep up this charade bs in the privacy of our homes too? Nope!!!

the purpose of generation explanation
by poopie inok here is my 2 cents they are getting complaints concerning the drum beat that goes we are in the last hour of last min bla bla bla and people are tired and want system to end so if the system is ended sooon then why are there new partakers assuming that most have the actually calling.
so now we have a problem how do we fix it?
simple just say those new annointed are not part of this generation so now if we appoint younger guys to gb not to worry there not a part of this generation.
